There is a Texting Scam and multiple Email Scams going around that you need to be aware of, as it looks to be coming from Pastor Glenn, Diane Keener, Dave Jones and Pastor John. I have talked with all about this and we agreed that this page should be created. Becky has recently informed me of the email scam using Diane Kenner Below is the text I received and below that is the emails that are being received by some members.
Hi, Moose, please return my text when you get it, I have a favor to ask.
When I replied i received the following
Glad to hear from you, I would have called but I'm currently in a meeting. I need to get Apple gift-cards today for some women battling cancer in the hospital but I can't do that right now because of my busy schedule.
Per my conversation with Pastor Glenn, he stated that he would never text this type of message to the members of the congregation. If you receive one, delete it and do not respond to the scammers. If you have already done what the Scammers asked, contact your bank to report the fraud, also contact support.apple.com/giftcard to report it as fraud. If you report quick enough Apple is able to refund the money.
